Day 2: Praise the Sun
Day 2 went way better than Day 1. I didn't try to do everything and I didn't work until 9 o'clock!
I did grade 70+ Calculus Chapter Tests I had given the Thursday before we shutdown and binge watched the entire season 1 of "100 Humans" (go watch it! It is fascinating).
I did bask in the sun. I am so glad the snow we got on Friday the 13th was winter's last hurrah and the sun came out. This would feel way worse if the skies were grey and it was really cold.
I did order pizza and see a real human being. I then went and washed my hands.
I did chat with my mom, brother, sister-in-law, and my favorite human, my 2 year old niece on my Facebook Portal (that thing is amazing everyone needs one).
I did have to nap because I had a migraine from too much screen time on Day 1. :(
The talk of how long this will last is really daunting and the idea of not seeing my students again at all this year is heart breaking. But this is the right thing and in a year we will be reminiscing about how crazy this time was and how we have gotten through it.
